How to best monitor works and repairs on the roads of a city, municipality, county? Do you need to keep a catalog of traffic signs and public lighting? Want to know who is in charge of road works and repairs, what are the deadlines, what is the current situation? You have been listening and reading for months how ININ is developing software based on Artificial Intelligence. But you are probably also wondering how this application works with any of our users. That is why we are writing this blog to explain how the application works on the example of the city of Slavonski Brod.
How to best monitor works and repairs on the roads of a city, municipality, county?
The city of Slavonski Brod has several hundred kilometers of roads and monitoring all works and repairs takes a lot of time. They recorded videos for each street in the city, uploaded files (video and GPS files) to the Smart Road Maintenance app, inspected all streets and recorded damages, traffic signs, public lighting, etc. With each new recording, they can now see if any changes have occurred: whether a certain traffic sign is damaged, crooked, a hole or damage repaired. When they notice any damage or irregularity, employees or authorized persons can issue a work order for repair to the contractor and monitor the condition and completion of the reported works. They have accurate and timely information at all times and based on this information they can plan works and issue work orders.

The city of Slavonski Brod is the first city in the Republic of Croatia to apply the Smart Road Maintenance application, which is based on Artificial Intelligence. The city, along with us of course, are proud that this application has been recognized as an advanced and modern solution by receiving the Smart City award given by Poslovni dnevnik.
„Significant time savings in data entry and updating, overviews of roads and buildings on the city map with valid statuses, supervision of contractor remediation deadlines, statistical review of works and historical overview, easy damage reporting and general ease of use distinguish this advanced application.“ – Tamara Mokricki, head of the municipal department in the city of Slavonski Brod.
